He is the poster child for everything against what I believe in. However, even he has a sense of humor and recognizes the Westboro Baptist Church for what they really are. US Supreme Court Upholds Westboro Baptist Church’s Right To Spew Hate At Funerals Of Fallen Soldiers
March 2, 2011 – Today the United States Supreme Court ruled 8-1 in favor of the Westboro Bastard Church freedom of speech case.
I am not really surprised at the out come today. It certainly isn’t a decision I wanted, considering the vile that this bunch of pukes spew. Bottom line here is the Supreme Court has decided that Westboro’s right to free speech trumps the right of families to bury their loved ones in peace.They are nothing more than a sick bunch of pukes that is surely on a path straight to hell.
This bunch has several family members who have law degrees and are very good at defending the First Amendment. Some of their income derives from winning cases against those who attempt to infringe on their rights to picket at soldiers funerals. When they win, they often receive tens of thousands of dollars in court fees. And their winning streak is likely to continue, now that the Supreme Court has sided with them.
Fred Phelps and his Westboro Baptist Church are engaged in a vile, hurtful, disrespectful and obnoxious family enterprise. They picket the funerals of men and women killed in action because they believe military deaths are God’s revenge for national acceptance of gay men and lesbians. “America is doomed for its acceptance of homosexuality,” according to an undated pamphlet quoted by the Southern Poverty Law Center. “If God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for going after fornication and homosexuality then why wouldn’t God destroy America for the same thing?”
The Phelpses are now guaranteed under the Constitution the right to be verbally hateful, offensive, disrespectful, and above all else, pure scum.
