Who Would You Trust Your Money With? Mitt Romney Or Barack Obama
September 19, 2012 – I have a question for you folks. You just won the lottery and have a huge, oh lets say $150 million jackpot to worry about managing. Now that you’ve won, you’re gonna need some financial help managing that huge fortune, right? You have two guys to choose from, and one of them is going to be responsible for making all of your future decisions on how that money will be invested and made to grow even bigger. Guess who those choices are? Yep, Mitt Romney or Barack Obama. So tell me folks, who’s it gonna be? Are you going to pick a guy who loves to spend other people’s money, has never held a meaningful job in the private sector, and spent the last four years building a national debt of historical proportions? Or, will you choose a guy who has made a very successful career managing money, saving corporations from failure, creating jobs and building a fortune?
By the way, while you’re pondering that tough question, I have some homework for you. Go do some research and tell me which of these two men has been the most charitable. You might be quite surprised.
Forbes has accounted for nearly $18 million of charitable giving by Mitt Romney to date, roughly 8% of what we currently estimate his net worth to be, and three times Obama’s net worth. Yet it is very likely that we are undercounting Romney’s total lifetime giving by many millions, as any exhaustive log of Romney’s pre-2010 out of pocket donations is locked away in the presidential candidate’s historical tax returns.
Yea, that Mitt Romney guy, he’s probably going to really screw up our economy if he gets elected. Just imagine how bad a guy like Romney is gonna be if he ever gets in control of our country. God help us. -JRoycroft
