Prince Harry Targeted By Taliban Attack – Two U.S. Marines Killed
September 15, 2012 – Prince Harry escapes close call when 19 Taliban forces attack and breached the perimeter of Camp Bastion in Afghanistan. Taliban forces claim that Harry was the intended target and said they were inspired to attack the camp, home to 28,000 personnel, by an American-made film which insults the prophet Mohammed.
Two U.S. Marines were killed in the attack. Troops killed 18 of the attackers and captured one prisoner.
