Obamacare Upheld By Supreme Court: It’s A Tax!
June 28, 2012 – Updated June 29, 5:40 pm – After reading through the ruling today I’ve come to realize you will not be forced to obtain health care insurance under the Obamacare plan. The ruling basically states that if you choose not to have insurance then you will pay a penalty tax.
Today history was made and today Federalism is dead. Our Federal government now has the power to control every aspect of your life. If you choose to not comply then you will pay a penalty via tax.
Obama said over and over and over again that his Obamacare mandate was not a tax. Today the supreme Court said yes hell it is and you by God will pay that tax if you do not comply with Obama’s health care plan. You are now pressured by Federal law to purchase a service that you may not want or need.
Health care is not a right. Saying that health care is a right is like saying you have a right to another persons life. That other person being the doctor, the health care provider, and the tax payer trying so hard to be successful. The government has essentially taken control of privately owned companies and is now going to force them to provide a service to you whether you want it or not. There is even talk now about unionizing doctors.
Eventually your employer will begin laying people off to offset the cost of that government health care plan. Some will stop providing the option because it will be much cheaper for the employer to pay the penalty tax than to carry the coverage, and that is exactly what Obama wants. He wants the cost to be so high that people will be forced to obtain the insurance from the government. Eventually there will be no where else to go to for your health care but government.
The health insurance mandate upheld today by the Supreme Court will impact roughly 26 million Americans. That’s roughly 8 percent of the population according to a recent study by the Urban Institute and independent analysis by MIT economist Jonathan Gruber, who advised both Mitt Romney and President Obama on health care law.
Not everyone will be forced to pay out of pocket. Here’s the break down done by the Urban Institute:
– 8.1 million will be eligible for free/close-to-free insurance through expansion of Medicaid under the law.
– 10.9 million will have to purchase coverage but receive subsidies to help with premiums
– 7.3 million (2 percent of population) will not be eligible for any assistance and will simply have to buy a plan or pay the penalty.
It may be a day for celebration if you hate the idea of freedom. All you fools who still support Obama aren’t bright enough to understand what happened today. It wasn’t about health care…it was about the Federal government owning you and taking away your right to choose. You can now be taxed for not purchasing what the Federal government tells you to. There is no limit to this madness. If they require that you buy a certain type of vehicle and you choose not to, guess what, you can now be taxed for not buying it. The only way to stop this new taxation is to get Obama out of office. He must go!
If you still support Obama you are the problem, not him. You are the one to blame. That makes you my enemy and tells all of the hard working independent members of society how completely stupid you really are. Oh, and will you please keep those Obama bumper stickers on your cars so we can point you out to our children. We need for them to know who is responsible for destroying their economic future. You’re all pathetic little fools who can’t function or even make a decision on your own.
